Development management
Your project. Our development capability.
Not every project owner needs a development partner or wants to give up equity. Clearview can lead the development of a project under a development management mandate, bringing the same capability we deploy across our own portfolio.
How it works
We work as part of the owner’s team.
We take accountability for progressing the project from its current position through development, commercialisation and investment. The owner retains the project and the economics, and deals with the people leading our own developments.
A recent mandate
Ten weeks to a transaction-ready project.
A Victorian energy-from-waste project, taken from the award of its cap licence to a position where an owner could either carry it themselves or bring in a co-developer.
- Approvals and licence conditions mapped against the critical path
- Waste supply agreements framed and taken to heads of agreement
- A reference design, basis of design and first cost plan established
- The market sounded across technology, construction and operations
- An integrated financial model with the commercial framework behind it
- A board pack setting out the choice, with the case for each side
The workstreams run together. Approvals, feedstock and site definition start immediately, the commercial and financial work builds on them as they report, and everything converges on a single decision at the end.
What we lead
Integrated development management.
Development leadership
Overall leadership of the development programme, bringing together land, grid, planning, technical, commercial and capital workstreams.
Commercialisation and offtake
Developing the route to market and progressing customer and offtake opportunities alongside the project, rather than treating revenue as a later-stage workstream.
Commercial and procurement
Commercial strategy, procurement, contracting and risk allocation across the project and its delivery partners.
Capital and investment readiness
Project economics, development funding, investor and lender engagement, and the work required to take the project to an investable and financeable position.
Development execution
Programme, budget, interfaces, advisers and counterparties managed as one development process, with clear accountability for progressing the project.
